“Hey everyone, Hydroplane and I wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas and happy holidays! We hope each of you had or have a great holiday, and we’ll see you all in the new year!”
“I don’t know, but I don’t think I want to find out, granted it’s a red button of all things,” Kelsey uneasily stared at it from a distance, “If you wanna push it, be my guest, but leave me time to run out of here first.’”
The red button sat apart from the main console. Surely it couldn’t be dangerous, otherwise Ratchet would have secured it, especially with Miko running around. “I’m gonna press it..” hesitating only a moment Overkill eagerly slapped the button.
Not a second after an alarm blared, and red emergency lights flooded the room. Startled Overkill hastily hit the button again shutting down the alert system. “Ow, my audials..” he looked to Kelsey grinning sheepishly, “Let’s not do that again.”
Jovial hoots of celebration and clinking of glasses roared over the music in a sudden surge. On screen above, cameras replayed the last-minute snatching of the game cube, its successful holder raising his newly earned prize above his helm, and then consumed in a flash of blue light. Another successful win for Iacon, it seems. Shouts of merriment were soon followed with groans of disappointment, slapping of credits in awaiting servos, and the all-too-familiar call for another round.
Highball was nothing short of happy to oblige. “On it, doll!”
She set down her rag and the glass that forever remains unclean, switching her selection out for several mugs. Humming as she poured, she called out to her fellow bar hand, “Oi! Fizz! We getting low on oilnog, keep an optic on the front while I go to the back to grab another barrel for the tap.”
A bottle flipped in the air, its owner spinning to catch it and pour a row of shots aligned on the bar in front of her in fluid motion. “You got it, love. Don’t be too long, or you’ll miss all the excitement.”
As if on time, a chime signaled the entrance of new customers.
“Speaking of excitement… There’s a set of new faces,” Fizz hummed, her mouth turned in an upwards smirk. “I wonder what stories they bring? One thing is for sure, this is going to be fun.”
𓆣|| HEY GUYS! Guess what?! A couple friends of mine made a Transformers oc review blog! Ratchet and I would really appreciate it if you’d give them a reblog and follow! <3
I was a bad day in the Decepticon ranks. The Autobots won a
small victory but in Megatron’s eyes it was as if the Autobots won the war. He
was pissed and everyone on the ship knew it, they could feel the tension. And
that metaphorical piss trickled down. Megatron was directly angry with
Starscream. Somehow everything was his fault and the commander was abused for
it. Knock Out and Breakdown heard it too. Soundwave was usually chill, but
after learning his body language you could tell he was irritated. When a report
was sent to him he was quick to deal with it and get back to whatever it was he
was doing before. He acted like he wanted to be left alone.
When the commanders were angry the troops were treated like
crap, and when the troops were treated like crap it set the troops off and
there was a lot of in-fighting. Because of that some vehicons and insecticons
got into it, Megatron found out, beat Starscream, ticked off Starscream and
Starscream started shooting. He severely injured some insecticons and vehicons
and told them that was their punishment. They were sent to Knock Out, but he
seemed less than enthused to repair anyone. Some good mechs died that night.
A group of eradicons were dispatched to do some recon but a
storm blew in. The wind whipped them all about and connections were lost. It
was raining really hard and the lightning interference was messing with his
sensors. He couldn’t tell what was around him, how high in the sky he was or
how low. He couldn’t manually see through the pounding rain which made a white-out
scenario. It was in the later evening, the sun was mostly set but it seemed two
hours darker than a clear day with the dark clouds.
The eradicon’s sensors faded in briefly to tell him know he
was extremely close to an object, but it was too late. He flew right into the
side of a mesa, crashing and tumbling down, transforming at some point. He
looked up at the sky and saw a flash of lightning. It was the last thing he saw
before blacking out with sensors lighting up his hud.
Overkill couldn’t help but chuckle, “You of all mechs would hope that.” His friend was ridiculous, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I know, I know. I’m trying think of something we could do.” He contemplated in silence for a few moments until finally he thought he had something, “Ok, so there’s no way I’d be able to just sneak you out of here, and I can’t just ask them to let you go. Although…maybe if you gave them some small piece of information I could convince them to?”
“Is there anything you could give them? Like, I don’t know, a small energon mine location or something? You’re not a high ranking officer so I doubt they would think you’d have any critical information. Besides we find mines all the time, there’s no way Megatron could trace us finding another back to you.”
Her little field trip to Mine D-28 wasn’t supposed to have taken this long to complete. Heck, she really shouldn’t have left the Nemesis in the first place, since the last time without telling her guardian she almost got stuck at the bottom of the ocean after trying to perform an aerial trick. Starscream was not too happy about having to fish her out afterwards, but he had deemed having waterlogged systems and being stuck in the medbay for a few days punishment enough. This did not dissuade her from sneaking out again.
This trip stemmed from the fact that Jointlock needed energon crystals, or that she was completely and utterly bored. Any sparkling would be when stuck on a warship all day and having nothing to do but repetitive repair work. She needed the energon crystals for her own personal side project she had been tinkering, and most of the energon coming up to the ship was already processed. So, the only way to get the crystals was to go to the mines herself and personally collect them.
The reason it was taking so long was because while she had been deep in the caverns of the mine, everyone else had been recalled to the ship after a raid attempt. So now, Jointlock was mindlessly wandering the cave tunnels, trying to get a good enough signal to comm Soundwave for a bridge or a possible way out. The only thing on her mind right now was, ‘Screamer is so going to kill me when I get back.’
Overkill was glad when he could sense the tension dissolve from her EM field, it wasn’t fair for a youngling to carry that much tension and darkness. At least, he thought, she didn’t have to go through it alone. Jointlock had support and bots who cared about her wellbeing, Overkill would’ve given anything for the same in his early days. Though he should count himself lucky to have eventually found others who truly cared about him, and who wanted to give him a chance at leaving all that darkness behind. There were others who weren’t so fortunate.
“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Overkill shrugged and absentmindedly scratched at the dirt, “Though..” He paused unsure of himself, “Optimus tells me that avoiding and ignoring your past can only make it worse. He says talking about it will help me overcome it…but I don’t know. Can you really get over your past just by talking about it?”
Overkill sighed heavily sending out small clouds of dirt from his vents where it had settled. There was truth in Optimus’ words part of him knew that, but he couldn’t shake the fear of just what might happen if he were to face his past. What if it sparked an episode that he couldn’t control, or talking about it just didn’t work for him? Dozens of what-if scenarios ran through his mind as a wave of anxiety washed through his EM field.
After a long moment of staring at the small gouges he’d left in the dirt floor, contemplating, Overkill finally turned his attention back to Jointlock. Uncertainty clear in his expression he asked her, “What do you think?”
My new computer finally arrived, and I’m officially back on tumblr! I plan to start writing replies this week, and will hopefully keep up with them regularly from now on.
Time for Overkill seemed to come to a stand still, perpetually stuck in an exhaustion induced series of nightmares. Trapped in a rerun of his life. One moment strapped to a lab table, the next under Megatron’s crushing heel the shooting pain of his cockpit shattering fresh as the day it happened. Barely enough time to process the memory, and Megatron’s form vanished replaced by bodies, enemy and ally, littering the energon stained battle field before him. An image he’d long since buried, or so he thought.
It soon became clear that he wasn’t in charge here, his body wouldn’t respond not even a twitch of his digits. Fear gripped his spark as he desperately willed his frame to budge to do anything, but it was no use, he was a puppet to his own mind. This wasn’t real he’d lived these events they were memories, Overkill reminded himself again and again willing himself back to reality. As things continued without pause he was quickly losing touch with what exactly his reality was.
On the outside the only signs of life from his motionless frame were ragged vents hardly above a whisper, and the subtle groan of joints and cables under too high tension. Overkill’s face twisted into an expression of pure anguish, his denta ready to crack under the pressure, and servos clenching tight enough to leave indents.
Breakout ran to the end of the wallway, up to the point where he knew that no cameras would be able to spot him and them began casually walking towards Overkill’s room. He casually waved at Bulkhead as he passed by and crossed his arms behind his back, trying his best to look as calm and collected as possible.
Inside his chest, he could feel his spark beating against its own casing. His fuel liked were pumping his energon at 150% of their normal speed and a warning had popped up on his HUD, warning him that unless he turned on his cooling fans at this moment, he was going to start overheating.
To say that he was stressed
and on the edge, would be an understatement.
The moment he was out of the main room, he ran. He skidded down the hallway and checked twice before putting his palm on the scanner next to Overkill’s door, to make sure that no one would see him getting in.
The scanner made a soft ‘beep’ sound as it completed the scan and unlocked the door. Breakout grabbed the handle and twisted it, shoving the door open with his shoulder. He stepped in, stumbling over a piece of broken furniture that had fallen in front of the door and shut it behind him.
“Decepticon!“ he frantically yelled squatting down to take ahold of Overkill’s wrists to immobilize him “Stop this! Stop this right now! You’re hurting yourself!“
Inside his mind memories flashed by seemingly on an eternal loop as voices from the past shouted, screamed, or pleaded from all sides repeating themselves again and again. Overkill cried out as he reached his breaking point but it was drowned out by the earsplitting cacophony that surrounded him.
On the outside Overkill made no indication that he’d heard Breakout’s demands or was even aware of being restrained. Still unaware of the outside world Overkill shuttered his optics the bombardment of images before him. Opening them again he was greeted by a dark void, a welcomed change, but a new voice joined the rest speaking above them all in an eerily calm tone. It was his voice.
Spinning on his heel Overkill frantically searched for the source but in here it seemed to come from everywhere at once. There was no up or down just an endless void, and he quickly became disoriented. Vents faltering Overkill began to panic, “it’s not real it’s not real he’s not real” he wanted to believe his own words but found himself in doubt.
All the while the disembodied voice encouraged him to give in to the panic and fear. Allow the darkness of his mind to take over and it would all be better. Overkill knew it was all lies, but he didn’t have the strength to fight that part of himself.
Overkill was full ready to accept defeat as the familiar numbness bled into his mind, that is until his audials picked up the addition of another voice, faint but it was there. It called out once, then again. He recognized it as the mech he’d encountered earlier, and something in his mind finally clicked, “I’m not here, I’m out there. None of this is real.” He spoke more to the voices around him than to himself. Shuttering his optics and covering his audials he blocked out his surroundings mentally clinging to that thread of reality and willing himself to wake up.
All at once the tension vanished from his frame and his vents hissed as he drew in a proper intake. Despite this Overkill’s optics remained closed as he struggled to gain full control over his consciousness.
🥇- Favorite TF series // 💜- Fav Decepticon? // 💞- Any Ships? Who’s your current fav?
🥇- Favorite TF series
I haven’t seen them all, but out of the ones I’ve seen Transformers Prime is my absolute number one. It’s the show I grew up with and it has a special place in my heart. I also feel it has one of the best stories behind it, some of the best animation for any TF show we’ve seen, and I LOVE that it’s not geared towards little kids it’s a little more serious and dark. Don’t get me wrong I love rescue bots it’s heckin cute, but I’m a sucker for angsty more adult stuff when it comes to TF.
💜- Fav Decepticon?
Starscream. Especially G1 verse. Despite failing at overthrowing Megatron again and again, he’s actually extremely intelligent and a highly dangerous warrior. If given the chance I think he would actually make a pretty good leader. He’s also just graceful and beautiful, those colors, those heels and that jet form ✨gorgeous✨.
💞- Any Ships? Who’s your current fav?
I have quite a few ships, but my all time favorites are (G1) MegaStar, (tfp) Optimus/Ratchet, (tfp) Knockout/Breakdown, and Heatwave/Kade.
